If you’re as glued as we are to the riotous goings-on of the orange-hued hooligans who make up the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” you’ll know that the show’s super-groomed Everymen — Ronnie, Pauly D, the Situation and Vinny — recently interrupted their steadfast routine of G.T.L. (gym, tan, laundry, duh) with a visit to Platinum Boyz Barbers, a Miami-based chop shop that prides itself on having the best “multicultural haircuts, fades and tape-ups” in the area.
The unassuming barbershop, which was originally designed to provide value haircuts for veterans, is tucked away on Miami’s busy Biscayne Boulevard, and has previously played host to Rick Ross NBA Jerseys, Travis McCoy and the Miami Heat rookie Dexter Pittman. And it’s not just the platinum fades that keep the famous and infamous coming. According to the shop’s manager NBA Jerseys, Kerry Harvey, the place was full of drama well before the “Jersey Shore” crew stopped by. “One day we had a customer in the shop, and a sudden gust of wind came through and slammed our back door,” Harvey says. “It was incredibly loud. He dropped to the floor in front of everybody — he actually thought somebody was shooting NBA Jerseys! You never know what will happen in our shop.”
Platinum Boyz Barber Shop is located at 6704 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami.
