Last Friday designer handbags, Andy from Reference Library (one my all time favorite sources of inspiration) emailed me a link to the Japanese workwear company Workers with a note saying: “You’re going to fall in love with Workers.” It was one of those moments where you see something amazing and new that opens the doors to many many more discoveries. It’s as if you haven’t seen anything and know nothing of the material world.

Andy was right.

Workers gathers vintage pieces of American workwear, then meticulously reproduces the garments to nearly perfect replicas. It even goes so far as to document the production process, ensuring the clothing is made as it should be. The company releases the items one at a time and nearly everything sells out. So if you are going to score that perfect denim chore coat you need to act fast. Workers is truly great stuff.

One of the company’s replica items. The details are perfect down to the labeling.
The inspiration for the coat.
